An Alsace package is the most relaxed and complete way to experience one of France's most distinctive and visually stunning regions. With accommodation, all transfers and expert English-speaking guiding fully coordinated in advance, every day of your stay is planned and every logistical detail is handled — leaving you free to enjoy the wine, the villages and the landscapes from the very first morning.

Packages are based in Strasbourg or Colmar — two of Alsace's most beautiful and well-located cities. Strasbourg, with its UNESCO-listed Grande Île and Franco-German culture, is the ideal base for exploring Northern Alsace and crossing into the Black Forest.

Colmar, the unofficial capital of the Alsace Wine Route, sits at the heart of the region's most scenic villages and vineyards. Both offer excellent accommodation options and direct rail connections from Paris.

Packages are available in two formats: fully private, reserved exclusively for your party with complete flexibility on timing, hotel category and itinerary; and small group (maximum 8 guests), combining well-organised multi-day touring with an intimate, friendly atmosphere and a more accessible price point.

Alsace package themes

  • Alsace Wine Route & villages (4–5 days): The classic Alsace package — a multi-day stay exploring the most iconic wine-route villages such as Riquewihr, Eguisheim, Kaysersberg and Obernai, with wine tastings at selected local producers and a visit to Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle. Based in Strasbourg or Colmar depending on the itinerary.

  • Private Alsace immersion (5 days from Colmar): An exclusively private package based in Colmar, combining the full range of Alsace highlights — wine-route villages, cellar visits with Grand Cru tastings, Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle and a day in the Black Forest — at a pace and hotel standard entirely tailored to your party.

  • Alsace discovery from Strasbourg (5 days, small group): A carefully structured small group package based in Strasbourg, including a gourmet walking tour of the city, a full Alsace Wine Route day with tastings, a day trip to Colmar and the wine-route villages, and a cross-border excursion to the Black Forest.

  • Alsace & Burgundy (8 days): An extended multi-region package combining the best of Alsace — Strasbourg, the Wine Route, villages and the Black Forest — with Burgundy's vineyards, Dijon, Beaune and the prestigious Côte d'Or wine route. Available in private and small group formats with 4-star or 5-star hotel options.

Private or small group?

  • Private packages: The entire itinerary is reserved exclusively for your party — no other guests at any stage. Full flexibility on timing, hotel category (3-star to 5-star), specific wine producers visited, and day-to-day pacing. Ideal for couples, families, wine enthusiasts seeking deeper cellar access, and guests celebrating a special occasion.

  • Small group packages (max 8 guests): Carefully organised shared departures with a friendly, intimate atmosphere. All logistics are handled end-to-end and the small group size ensures a personal, unhurried experience. Available in 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotel categories. Ideal for solo travellers, couples and guests who enjoy sharing experiences with like-minded travellers.

What every Alsace package includes

  • Accommodation: Centrally located hotels in Strasbourg or Colmar; full hotel details and category options shown on each package page.

  • All transfers and transport: Airport or train station arrival and departure transfers, and all daily transport between sites and excursions in a comfortable vehicle.

  • Breakfast daily: Included from day 2 onwards on all packages.

  • Expert local guiding: English-speaking driver-guides with specialist knowledge of Alsatian history, wine, culture and gastronomy.
  • Wine tastings: Included on all wine-focused days; number of tastings and producer types vary by itinerary.

  • Entrance fees: Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle and other site entry fees included where specified on the package page.

When to visit Alsace

Alsace is a rewarding destination year-round. Spring (April–June) brings flowering vines and quiet country roads. Summer (July–August) offers long sunny days and full vineyard canopy.

Harvest season (September–October) is the most exciting time for wine lovers, with active picking and fresh juice in the cellars. Late November and December add the magic of Alsace's world-famous Christmas markets — among the most atmospheric in Europe — making winter packages particularly popular.

Browse the Alsace packages below to find the right itinerary, base, duration and hotel category for your travel dates. If you would like a bespoke package not listed here, contact our team with your dates, preferred base (Strasbourg or Colmar), group size, hotel standard and any specific interests — wine, gastronomy, history, family or celebration — and we will design a tailor-made itinerary with a clear all-inclusive price.
