A Provence package is the most effortless way to experience one of France's most beloved and diverse regions. Based in Aix-en-Provence — the cultural capital of Provence, with its tree-lined cours Mirabeau, daily markets and extraordinary medieval and baroque heritage — every day of your stay is fully planned, with expert local guides, comfortable transport and carefully selected accommodation all arranged in advance.

All Provence packages include arrival and departure transfers from Aix-en-Provence train station or Marseille Provence Airport, making the region easily accessible from Paris by TGV (approximately 3 hours), as well as from London, Amsterdam and other major European cities via Marseille airport.

Packages are available in two formats: fully private, reserved exclusively for your party with hotel pick-up included and complete flexibility on timing and stops; and small group (maximum 8 guests), combining well-organised multi-day touring with an intimate, convivial atmosphere. Both formats are available with 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotel options in central Aix.

Provence package options

  • 5-day Provence package (private or small group, 3-star to 5-star): The essential Provence experience — four nights in central Aix-en-Provence, with arrival and departure transfers, a full-day guided tour to Cassis, the Calanques and a Provence wine tasting, a full-day wine tour in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and a full-day cultural tour to Arles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Les Baux. All tasting fees and specified entrance fees included. Available in private or small group format.

Private or small group?

  • Private packages: The entire itinerary is reserved exclusively for your party — hotel pick-up included, no shared groups at any stage. Full flexibility on timing, hotel category (3-star, 4-star or 5-star) and day-by-day pace. Ideal for couples, families, guests celebrating a special occasion and travellers who prefer everything adapted to their own rhythm.

  • Small group packages (max 8 guests): Carefully organised shared departures from the Aix-en-Provence Tourism Office, with all logistics handled end-to-end. Available with 3-star hotel accommodation. Ideal for solo travellers, couples and guests who enjoy a convivial atmosphere with like-minded visitors in a genuinely intimate group setting.

What every Provence package includes

  • Accommodation: Centrally located hotel in Aix-en-Provence (3-star, 4-star or 5-star options); full hotel details on each package page.

  • Arrival & departure transfers: Pick-up and drop-off at Aix-en-Provence train station or Marseille Provence Airport.

  • Breakfast daily: Included from day 2 onwards.

  • Expert local guiding: English-speaking certified driver-guides throughout, with specialist knowledge of Provençal history, culture, wine and gastronomy.

  • Wine tastings: Included on all wine-focused days; tasting fees covered in full.

  • Calanques boat excursion: Included on the Cassis & Calanques day (seasonal, subject to sea conditions).

  • Comfortable transport: Premium air-conditioned Mercedes minivan throughout.

When to visit Provence

Provence is a year-round destination, though the most popular and rewarding seasons are spring (April–June), when wildflowers and cherry blossoms colour the Luberon and the Calanques are at their most accessible, and early autumn (September–October), with harvest season in the vineyards and warm, settled weather.

Lavender season (late June to mid-July) is particularly spectacular, especially around the Sénanque Abbey and the Valensole plateau, and packages during this period fill quickly. Summer is warm and lively but the most popular sites are busiest in July and August — advance booking is strongly recommended.

Browse the Provence packages below for current itineraries, hotel categories and pricing. For a bespoke package — a longer stay, a lavender-season itinerary, a gastronomy focus or a special celebration — contact our team with your travel dates, group size and preferred hotel standard.
