Learn more about Champagne Packages — Private & Small Group Multi-Day Stays with Hotels & Transfers
The Champagne region is one of France's most celebrated wine destinations — a UNESCO World Heritage landscape of chalk hillsides, Gothic architecture and some of the world's most iconic wine houses.
A multi-day Champagne package is the most rewarding way to experience it: with accommodation, transfers and expert guiding all handled in advance, you can focus entirely on the cellars, the vineyards and the exceptional quality of the wines poured in your glass.
All Champagne packages are based in Reims, the historical and cultural capital of the region, with arrival and departure transfers from Reims train station included. Reims combines magnificent Gothic heritage — its UNESCO-listed cathedral was the coronation site of French kings — with direct access to the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne, the Côte des Blancs and the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay.
Packages are available in two formats: fully private, reserved exclusively for your party with complete flexibility on timing, hotel category and tasting selections; and small group (maximum 8 guests), combining well-organised multi-day touring with an intimate atmosphere and a more accessible price point.
Champagne package themes
- 4-day Champagne package (private or small group): The core Champagne experience — three full days of guided cellar visits and tastings including prestigious Grande Maison houses such as Veuve Clicquot and Moët & Chandon, family growers in the Montagne de Reims, the village of Hautvillers (birthplace of Dom Pérignon) and the famous Avenue de Champagne in Épernay. Available with 4-star or 5-star hotel accommodation in central Reims.
- Champagne, Alsace & Burgundy (11 days, private): An extended luxury escape combining the Champagne region with Alsace's wine-route villages and the great vineyards of Burgundy — Dijon, Beaune and the Côte d'Or. A definitive multi-region wine journey through three of France's finest appellations.
What you will experience
- The grandes maisons: Cellar visits and guided tastings at some of the world's most celebrated Champagne houses, with access to kilometres of historic chalk galleries where millions of bottles are aged.
- Family growers & récoltant-manipulants: A personal, intimate contrast to the grandes maisons — visiting smaller family producers who cultivate their own vines and craft their own Champagne, often with the winemaker themselves pouring the wines.
- Reims: A privately guided walking tour of one of France's most impressive cities, including the Gothic Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral, the Palais du Tau and the historic Champagne house facades.
- Épernay & the Avenue de Champagne: A visit to the world's most celebrated wine street, lined with the 18th-century mansions and cellars of the great Champagne houses, with over 110 kilometres of underground galleries beneath the town.
- Hautvillers village: A visit to the picturesque hillside village where Dom Pérignon, the Benedictine monk credited with perfecting the Champagne method, lived and worked — and is buried in the village church.
- Montagne de Reims vineyards: Scenic drives and stops through the Grand Cru vineyard hillsides of the Montagne de Reims, home to some of the region's finest Pinot Noir parcels.
Private or small group?
- Private packages: Reserved exclusively for your party at every stage — no other guests in the vehicle, at the cellar or at the tasting table. Full flexibility on timing, tasting selection and hotel category (4-star or 5-star). Ideal for couples, celebrations, honeymoons and wine enthusiasts seeking deeper access to producers.
- Small group packages (max 8 guests): A sociable, intimate shared experience with all logistics handled end-to-end. Ideal for solo travellers, couples and guests who enjoy sharing a passion for Champagne with like-minded visitors.
What every Champagne package includes
- Accommodation: Centrally located hotel in Reims (4-star or 5-star options available); full hotel details shown on each package page.
- Arrival & departure transfers: Pick-up and drop-off at Reims train station.
- Breakfast daily: Included from day 2 onwards.
- Expert local guiding: English-speaking certified driver-guide throughout, with deep specialist knowledge of Champagne production, history and producers.
- Cellar visits & tastings: Guided visits and tastings at prestigious Champagne houses and family growers, as detailed on each package page.
- Comfortable transport: Premium air-conditioned vehicle throughout.
When to visit Champagne
Champagne packages run year-round, though the most popular seasons are spring (April–June), when the vines are in flower and the region is at its most photogenic, and harvest (September–October), when the picking is underway and the cellars are at their most active and welcoming.
Winter visits offer a more intimate atmosphere and shorter queues at the major houses, while summer brings long days and ideal conditions for vineyard walks.
Browse the Champagne packages below to find the right itinerary, hotel category and format for your travel dates.
